Sustainable Dining & Catering

HSU Dining Services is making great strides toward integrating sustainability into their offerings. Their efforts include:

  1. Stocking food and drinks from local, Humboldt County farms, bakeries and fisheries
  2. Expanding composting operations
  3. Donating leftover food to local food pantries, including the food pantry on campus managed by Oh SNAP! Student Food Programs
  4. Providing reusable to-go containers and cups in place of single-use items
  5. Offering plant-based menus
