Sustainable Dining & Catering
Humboldt Dining Services is making great strides toward integrating sustainability into their offerings. Their efforts include:
- Stocking food and drinks from local, Humboldt County farms, bakeries and fisheries
- Expanding composting operations
- Donating leftover food to local food pantries, including the food pantry on campus managed by Oh SNAP! Student Food Programs
- Providing reusable to-go containers and cups in place of single-use items
- Offering plant-based menus
