Sustainability: Internships

Office of Sustainability Internships

The Office of Sustainability (OS) provides opportunities for students to participate in campus sustainability activities through a for-credit internship (ENVS 482) offered in the fall and spring semesters.  Students may choose an appropriate project from the following subject areas or support a particular project currently being worked on by the OS.  Subject areas can include:  Built Environment, Campus Landscape, Education, Energy, Food Services, Procurement, Transportation, Waste, and Water.  Interns will work directly with the office Director or Sustainability Coordinator to craft a project through the semester that will directly support OS activities.  The OS internship provides applied experience working on research and planning efforts.

The number of internships are limited.  Contact TallChief Comet (tallchief.comet@humboldt.edu) for more information about this opportunity.

Internships through Green Campus and WRRAP

Green Campus and WRRAP provide for-credit student interns the opportunity to integrate sustainability into campus life and the curricula, raise campus awareness about the relationship between the environment, social and economic equity, and implement zero waste and energy conservation projects. Internships are offered in the fall and spring semesters.
