Project helps the Redwood Coast Energy Athority (RCEA) with development of an informational guide available to the public in an effort to improve resources for those wanting to become more energy efficient and reduce overall consumption.
The purpose of this project was to design an energy reduction program for residence hall laundry facilities. The project group worked to set the framework for such a program, including planning methods for collecting baseline data and monitoring program progress.
Brief look into methods to improve energy education in local schools, with particular attention to grades k-8. Document contains discussions of energy education importance and suggested strategies to improve local educational efforts in such areas.
Project addresses the notion of the eventual peak and subsequent decline in natural fossil fuel resources and world-wide production. Outlines the need for community plans to deal with this situation of declining resources.
Brief overview of energy use on the campus of Cal Poly Humboldt and research into the development of a campus wide cohesive plan to conserve such energy. Examples of methods currently used on various other campuses are cited and suggestions on how to engage both students and faculty included.
The goal of this analysis is to provide Humboldt's Plant Operations Department with a concise analysis of feasible options for off-setting the energy currently being purchased from PG&E at Humboldt's Natural HIstory Museum.
Educational outreach plan for residents of the Courtyards housing development which has incorporated aspects of renewable energy soucres and conservation such as PV panels, solar water heaters and individual watt meters to monitor energy usage into its design.
