Humboldt Forestry Parking Lot Sediment Runoff Assessment

File upload:
Abstract:
The goal of this project is to reduce the annual sediment yields of Humboldt's forestry tool cleaning area as much as technically feasible as well as devise new ways to eliminate sediment runoff from the forestry building parking lot into campus runoff by designing new infrastructure.
Problem Statement:
The current infrastructure fails to address pollutant levels, especially sediment, that is transported into nearby natural systems. Some watershed areas on campus are more prone to increased sediment levels due to improper infrastructural design and improper use.
