Abstract: 
Documentation of student internship working with the Institute of Arctic Biology as part of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Internship directed around working with soil ecologist and graduate student to continue research on the long term ecological project, FROSTFIRE and particularly look at the effects of fire on soil nitrogen dynamics. Student work involved aiding in project logistics and collection of soil samples, within the project site forest.
Problem Statement: 
Participate in a directed research internship with the University of Alaska Fairbanks to aid in graduate research on the effects of forest fires on soil dynamics.
