Abstract:
Student volunteer experience in sustainable development in northeastern Brazil. Document contains brief description of issues facing the poor in Brazil and what is being done by government and aid organizations to address these problems. Volunteer experience is in sustainable construction of homes for three families. Critique of volunteer program and suggestions for improvements of such programs are included.
Problem Statement:
Analyze volunteer programs addressing poverty and related issues within Brazil and determine the sustainability of their implementation and results.
