Abstract: 
Project attemps to assess the feasibility of possible strategies aimed at reducing waste generation and diversion from landfills on the campus of Cal Poly Humboldt. Document includes discussions pros and cons of on-site versus off-site locations, anaerobic digestion, composting, operation and maintenance costs and educational benefits of possible implementation methods. Contains brief section on applicable regulations and restrictions.
Problem Statement: 
Develop methods for the diversion of biodegradable waste generated at Humboldt from landfills and overall solid waste reduction.
