Overview of issues surrounding the increased use of compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and problems associated with their disposal/ recycling in Humboldt County. Project looks at current incentives and distribution programs pertaining to CFLs and develops additional recycling methods such as deposite sites around the community where CFLs can be taken and collected later by the Humboldt Waste Management Authority. Includes discussions of educational outreach and adverstisement campaigns to raise local community awareness of CFLs and how to recycle them.
