Project addresses the growing issue of food security and the loss of heirloom varities and overall genetic diversity in plants producing consumable food. Contains discussions of food security, the importance of genetic diversity, hybrids, genectically modified organisms and methods to increase local awareness/ participation with related events and organizations. Document also includes information on the Humboldt Permaculture Guild, seed saving guides, local participants and additional resources.
