Project looks at the issues surrounding rain water collection and reuse within the city and surrounding community of Arcata. Particular interest given to the resue of rain water for irrigation, reduction to storm water contributions and gaining community support for projects.

This project focused on the population decline of Pseudacris regilla (Pacific chorus frog) in the Dow’s Prairie Educational Wetland. Background research was done in order to determine possible reasons behind this decline. Soil and water samples were also tested for contamination.

General survey into the water usage on the campus of Cal Poly Humboldt and development of strategies to promote/ raise awareness of conservation.

A brief look at the clean water act (CWA) and implications with respect to stormwater runoff. Particular attention given to phase two regulations relating to smaller municipalities than previously regulated through phase one of the CWA.

Student lead campaign to promote local water resources and decrease the amount of single-use water bottles used on and around Cal Poly Humboldt. Document conatins discussions of campaign goals, issues surrounding bottled water, local water resources and campus support.

The goal of this project is to reduce the annual sediment yields of Humboldt's forestry tool cleaning area as much as technically feasible as well as devise new ways to eliminate sediment runoff from the forestry building parking lot into campus runoff by designing new infrastructure.
