  • You're invited to attend a campus Sustainability Social & Community Mixer Weds October 18th 4:30- 6:30pm, Second Floor of the Library in the Author's Hall (outside the Fishbowl)! This should be a fun, lowkey event with heavy appetizers and beverages. Overall, the goal of the event is to celebrate our shared sustainability accomplishments and forge new connections in an informal and laid back environment! The event will be hosted by the Sustainability Office, the CCBL, the ENST department, and HEIF/SHIFT. At this event we will be celebrating the launch of the Sustainable Humboldt Innovative Futures Trust (SHIFT) by announcing that the Humboldt Energy Independence Fund (HEIF) is retiring its name and adopting SHIFT as its forthcoming moniker in Spring 2024. In addition to that, we are planning to honor contributors to our most recent STARS Gold rating of 76.57, which was achieved in May 2023. And last but not least, we are inviting community organizations to mingle with us so that students attending can make connections for internships and employment opportunities.
